Impact of Methyl Furan Combined with Iron Nanoparticles and Biodiesel at the Overall Performance and Emission Traits of a Diesel Engine
Main Article Content
Abstract
In order to reduce emissions, specially nitrogen oxide (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO), unburnt hydrocarbons (HC) of a diesel engine, experimen is carried out by means of firing the diesel engine with diesel-2 methyl furan-iron nano particles and diesel-2 methyl furan-bio diesel blends. Performance parameters such as power, torque and fuel consumption is concurrently found by varying the loads corresponding to each CR. Inclusion of iron nano particles and 2 methyl furan raises the calorific value of fuel blends serving to finer ignition. The results obtained revealed that NOx, CO, HC emissions reduced by 50%, 71.4% and 71.4% respectively.
