Abstract

The aim of this work is to study various gusts and to develop a numerical solution of the response by Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). A MATLAB code and SIMULINK block diagram were developed for the numerical solution of the response of linear aero-elastic equations. The response of UAV is plotted and results are compared for various gust velocities. Pitch rate depends on the velocity of the UAV, length of the gust and the maximum gust velocity. It was found that with increase in gust velocity and gust length, the pitch and pitch rate of UAV are increased proportionally.
