Application of Adaptive Pontryagin's Minimum Principle Energy Management Strategy in Fuel Cell Engine System

Abstract
Single hydrogen fuel cell has a slow response speed when it is used as the energy source of vehicle operation. This fuel is difficult to cope with various operating conditions. Aiming at the problem of the automobile energy belt engine with most fuel cells, the energy management strategy (EMS) is analyzed. The objective function is designed by controlling the lowest hydrogen consumption index. Considering the constraints of battery state of charge and fuel cell power, an adaptive minimum principle, EMS based on fuzzy control is designed. After analyzing the simulation results of the proposed strategy, it is found that SOC of Pontryagin's Minimum Principle (PMP) is 15.53% lower than that of PFS. The low value of hydrogen consumption is 26.5g. The difference of equivalent hydrogen consumption per hundred kilometres is 56.8g. The automobile engine system under FLC-PMP control strategy is more stable and the error deviation is less than 1%. The result of this strategy can effectively reduce energy consumption and improve economy and power. It effectively provides a new research idea for the performance optimization of fuel vehicle engine system.
