Research on Product Family Design of Renewable New Energy Vehicles using Multi-image Modeling
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study is based on a new energy prototype vehicle and investigates the design process and method of a new energy vehicle’s fully plastic body (FPB) based on rotary forming technology. By utilizing the powerful surface editing function and vehicle design automation module of UG software, an integrated FPB and modular fully plastic flooring have been designed. Research has shown that adopting a FPB structure with highly integrated functions and components can minimize the additional manufacturing costs and processing steps, achieving universality for automotive components. By using integrated body shaping technology, all plastic doors, all plastic flooring and rear trunk lid, as well as plastic/steel composite technology and reinforcement technology, the lightweighting of all plastic body is achieved. The experiment found that the approach angle of the vehicle body is related to the minimum ground clearance and suspension of the vehicle. The designed new energy vehicle has a ground clearance of 160mm, an approach angle of 25 degrees and a departure angle of 20 degrees, exceeding the minimum requirements.
