Mechanical Properties of Rice Husk Ash and Tamarind Seed Powder Doped Prosopis Juli-flora Fibrous Biocomposites
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this work, epoxy biocomposites reinforced with Prosopis Juli-flora (PJ) bark, rice husk ash (RHA) and tamarind seed powder (TSP) were fabricated through a compression molding process. Mechanical properties were evaluated via tensile, flexural and impact tests conducted in accordance with ASTM standards. The findings revealed a consistent trend toward enhanced mechanical characteristics when incorporating natural fiber fillers. Notably, the PRT1 biocomposite, composed of 40% PJ, 30% epoxy resin, 10% RHA and 20% TSP by wt., demonstrated superior strength compared to all other fabricated composites.
