CFD Analysis of Air Intake Manifold System to Improve the Efficiency of Student Formula Car
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper discusses the design of the student formula car's intake system, which includes the runners, restrictor, venturi and throttle body. The proposed system is built in accordance with Formula Society of Automotive Engineers regulations to guarantee quality. The standard engineering procedures will be used in the design of the intake manifold system, including computer modelling, engine simulation and finally computational fluid dynamics testing to validate the model and fine-tune the design for the intake manifold system as a whole to achieve the best performance. The power, efficiency and emissions of the engine are significantly influenced by the air intake manifold's structure and operation. A well-designed air intake manifold can improve engine performance by increasing airflow through the engine and lowering air restriction.
