Abstract

Electrified mobility technology requires power electronic systems which fulfil essential requirements of size efficiency high performance at affordable costs. In the advancement of electric vehicles (EVs), power electronics innovations in inverters and converters and motor drives serve as fundamental elements. It has emerged to allow power systems to achieve better switching frequencies and lower operational losses along with thermal performance improvements that produce heightened system efficiency together with densified power rating. The research investigates modern power electronic developments for their implementation within traction drive systems of future light-duty EV vehicles. Achieving faster charging and extending range alongside better fuel economy represents the main obstacles and chances that enable speedier development of EV that is efficient, dependable and built for mass adoption.
