Abstract

Surface finish is the most important property of the product that makes it marketable and useable. Achieving mirror quality finish at a low cost without compromising the production rate is a critical job of a process planner. This work concentrates on identifying the critical parameters that controls the output of centerless grinding process and studying the interactions between the critical parameters such as regulating wheel speed, regulating wheel angle and depth of cut. The effect of these parameters is studied with the help of ANOVA and Response Surface Methodology. The parameters are optimized with Grey Relational Analysis.
